Circus Minimus collaborated in a unique residency in with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic Orchestra in Poughkeepsie, NY. Two hundred 4th and 5th graders made history with Circus Musicus. Under our direction the students created their own circus acts (tumbling, juggling, clowning, low wire walking and partner acrobatics) while the Orchestra played stirring classical selections. The final 60-minute presentation was a sold-out show in the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. It was a wonderful outreach project that introduced thousands of new audience members to the power of music and circus to change kids lives. See Photo Gallery. (There is also a free 4-minute video available.)
